To get to the post office from Jellaine’s house, I have to walk up a very steep hill that overlooks downtown. Its pretty cool. I noticed that the sky was kinda hazy and had a pale orangy tint to it, which was almost making the city skyline invisible from the thickness of it. When I got back I asked CJ if I should call mom and tell her i love her, because its all coming to an end… But really it was neat, over the next few hours, the dust came up from the city and into the suburbs. The wind has been really blowing and it made me really thanksful to miss out on hurricane season. Also really thanksful that this house won’t have to endure a hurrican because you feel every breeze and wind and every door and window creaks. It was really weird though to see the sky orange like that. Turns out the dust is from the red center and it swept across the Eastern part of the country. The airports in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne were temporarily delaying flights until it clears more. Jellaine even said there was a mini earthquake and stuff down south. But its clearing up and tonight, we’re going rock climbing with the adventure club, so that I can meet them and join so I can go on the weekend trips with them.
