i JUST wrote a looong post..and lost it. UGH. The internet is the only annoying thing here I’ve found. So, I’ll summarize, just because I’m worried I’ll loose it again. Great Ocean Road, GOR, is amazing. So beautiful. The landscape is so rugged, lush rolling green hills, jagged coasts, waterfalls, sheeps, cattle, I saw the 12 Aposteles. Its funny, everytime we got out of the car, it started to rain. COld rain. But it didn’t bother me, I just laughed. I wrote this yesterday… have to back track. So I liked the French people, only…they weren’t as much fun as i hoped. They were nice, but if I go on a road trip of epic proportions, I want to have a blast and laugh the whole way, so I jumped off in Adelaide. I also stopped there because we camped each night it was so cold!!! SO COLD. Althought it was amazing waking up next to teh sea and seeing whales!!!! How great!! I also saw kangaroos on the GOR. THese girls were prepared though, they had propane stoves, they made pasta and rice and everything. I would’ve just had peanut butter everything. Which btw, they were unfamiliar with, so I introduced them to PB and that you can put it on anything. And they did…even on pasta..I think the exaggeration was lost in translation. So…oh our van was hilarious. It would creak and squeak along the mountainside and there were times when I wasn’t sure that it would make it. I kept thinking of teh Little Engine that Could. But alas, it made it throught Adeladie, which is tucked away in mountains. Surprisingly….here I really thought the van would roll backwards. When we were trying to find a place to camp the second night, we went up the steepest hill, just barely trucking along, and had the most spectacular view of the whole city. Incredible, then I thought we were going to roll back down the hill. MORE LATER> I just don’t want to loose this post too.
