I think I will not go in the camper van with the French girls to ride up through the desert because I found a super cheap flight to Queensland! Plus, as advised by some fellow travelers, you don’t want to drive through the desert with boring people/ people you don’t really, really, like. Ok. So I won’t. Monday I go on my Great Ocean Road tour and I am going to try to book my flight for Wednesday. I’ve been couch surfing with these three crazy kids. They are loads of fun and super chill and nice. Last night, went out and saw a transvesite show. They give everyone an animal name, kinda like a spirit animal, so they are, Otter, (Killer) Panda, and a Kangaroo Joey. I am racoon. I don’t know why really. Guess thats what I look like?? Thoughts? I think when I get to Brisbane I am going to stay with the mom and daughter who were also couch surfing. But these kids are just living the dream…I have no idea what they do other than live it up, but in a few weeks they are off to Hawaii for three months. I’ve seen a lot of Melbourne and will want to experience more when it warms up. Plus, I haven’t seen a kangaroo, koala, or anything of that Aussia stuff yet. Today I’m at the state library, which is crazy huge and nice because I need a game plan. I like my lists, and a week of no lists is quite good for me, but now its on. Yesterday I explored and went on the free tour, met some friends, I am not staying at a hostel, but I still go and visit because I made some friends there. I am a racoon. Scavenging the city. Since its winter, the foliage and such is all bland, but i think it must be amazing in spring and summer. There are trees and parks and flower bushes everywehre. Can’t wait to come back and visit then. The city and trams are so easy to navigate, got it down. Check. Now, to make a list, buy a plane ticket, have more fun :) YAY I LOVE AUSTRALIA!!
